About The Creator's Corner: Behind The Scenes
I do not just hike with a camera; I hike with purpose. My process revolves around the 'Golden Hour'—that specific, fleeting window where the light isn't just bright, it's alive. Whether I am waiting on a ridge in Spiti or navigating the crowds at Yamuna Ghat, my Sony ZV-E1 is constantly recording, capturing the ambient audio and environmental hum alongside the visuals so the final edit feels like a memory, not just a record.
Many people ask about the camera settings, but the real story is in the chaos. My kit is intentionally lean—a Sony ZV-E1, a DJI Mini 3 Pro for the impossible angles, and the Insta360 for those immersive, 360-degree POV shots that put you right in the center of the action. But hardware is just the tool.
The Reality of the Shot
My 'Behind the Scenes' isn't about perfectly posed, static moments. It is about the sweat, the 4 AM wake-up calls in Leh, and that split-second decision when the light hits the clouds just right. When I shoot, I am already visualizing the edit. I shoot in S-Log3 profile, which means the raw footage looks flat and grey—that is the canvas I work with before bringing it to life.
Giving it Soul in Post
Editing is where the emotion gets dialed in. I do not believe in heavy, unnatural filters. Instead, I use Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve to craft a color grade that matches the mood—teal and orange for a cinematic punch or warm, earthy tones for that nostalgic, spiritual vibe of Kashi. It is about making the image look the way it felt when I was standing there, breathless.
How I Work
If you are hiring me, expect a collaborator, not a service provider. I am the guy who will climb the extra ridge to get the drone shot or wait two hours for the birds to settle at the ghat. It is not just photography; it is a shared expedition to capture a feeling that lasts. If you want a story that breathes, let us talk about your vision.
