About Behind the Lens: Process & Reels
When we shoot, I keep my iPad handy so you can see the color grading as we work. It turns the session into a live collaboration where you get to see how I balance shadows and light to achieve that cinematic mood. You aren't guessing the final look; you are part of creating it.
I don't believe in static photoshoots. Whether we are hitting a gritty junkyard or a quiet rooftop in Noida, my goal is to build a narrative. The process starts with a concept—maybe it is a specific mood or a character—and then we scout a space that fits the vibe.
The Editing Philosophy
I treat editing as an extension of the storytelling. I use Lightroom on my iPad, which allows me to work closely with you. We can tweak the color separation and light adjustments right there, ensuring the final images match the vision we discussed. This is how I get that specific moody, cinematic quality that defines my work.
Technical Execution
While I shoot with the Sony A7Riii for high-resolution detail, I rely on natural light and simple modifiers to control the scene. I often block natural light or use creative angles to sculpt the subject, a technique I call 'sculpting with shadows.'
Your Role in the Process
I love working with models and brands who aren't afraid to try something unconventional. If we need to drag a dining chair to a bus or shoot with props, we do it. The best results come when we are both pushing the creative boundaries. You will see the raw energy behind the lens and how we refine those moments into the final, high-end hero images you see on my feed.
