Textile Recycling & Upcycling Services in Gurugram
Give your old clothes a new purpose. We partner with local artisans to upcycle textiles, keeping them out of landfills and creating opportunities for rural women.
This is just a fraction of the clothes we receive. Our team meticulously sorts through every donation, preparing them for their next life as recycled fibre or handcrafted products.
A citizen drops off bags and boxes full of old clothes at our collection unit. It is through these generous contributions that we have collected over 1,010 kg of textiles in just two months.
Citizens posing with our new textile recycling bin. Partnering with Respun, we have placed these permanent bins at our collection hubs to make donating your old clothes easy and impactful.
Two members of our community stand proudly by the newly installed Respun collection bin. Each item of clothing donated saves about 6 kg of CO2 and 2700 litres of water.
Our team members inaugurate a new textile recycling bin. This initiative not only helps the environment but also supports the upskilling and employment of rural women in Haryana.
Two of our partners celebrate the launch of a new clothing recycling bin. This collaboration is key to our mission of giving every piece of clothing a second chance.
About From Wardrobe to Workshop: Textile Recycling
When you are sorting through your closet, remember that we can accept clean, dry clothes, shoes, and toys, but we have to decline items that are damp or heavily soiled as they contaminate the batch. Just bag your items and drop them off at our dedicated Respun bins at the Samadhaan Hub or Creek 56 units; it is a small step that keeps thousands of kilograms of waste out of our landfills.
Why We Recycle Textiles
Textiles are one of the most overlooked sources of waste in our city. Every garment thrown into the trash ends up in the Bandhwari landfill, contributing to pollution and resource waste. We started this initiative to change the narrative. Instead of viewing old clothes as trash, we see them as raw material.
Our Partnership with Respun
We have partnered with Respun to ensure your donations are handled responsibly. Here is what happens after you drop your items off:
- Recycling into Fibre: Fabrics that cannot be reused as-is are processed into new textile fibre.
- Handcrafted Upcycling: Wearable items and usable fabrics are transformed into new, handcrafted products by rural women artisans in Haryana, providing them with sustainable employment.
- Environmental Impact: Every kilogram of textile diverted saves thousands of litres of water and prevents significant CO2 emissions compared to producing new materials.

Iamgurgaon
We are just regular folks who got tired of seeing waste pile up near our hills. We started collecting textiles because we saw a way to keep them out of landfills and turn them into something beautiful instead.
