Don't let your celebrations leave a footprint on the planet. We help you recycle your puja flowers, diyas, and ceremonial fabric, ensuring your offerings are treated with respect, not waste.

This festive season, celebrate consciously. This video shows our dedicated Mandir Dry Waste Collection Unit, where you can drop off puja items like flowers, diyas, and sacred threads for eco-friendly disposal.

Let's make our celebrations greener. We invite you to bring your post-festival waste to our special collection unit at the Prachin Hanuman Aur Shani Dev Mandir, ensuring nothing goes to waste.

The movement is growing. In just two weeks, over 30 residential societies helped collect more than 7,128 kg of festive waste, including diyas, puja cloth, and garlands.

Hear from residents of Sector 9 who have organized their entire colony to collect and drop off their household and temple waste at our recycling station. Their dedication is truly inspiring.

This resident from Sector 89 has been depositing his festive waste with us for over a year, contributing to a total of 110 kg of recycled materials. His commitment shows that distance is no barrier to responsibility.

About Celebrating Sustainably: Puja & Festive Waste

Before you bring your items to our Mandir unit in Sector 26, please do a quick pre-sort at home. Separate the organic matter like flower garlands, banana leaves, and coconut shells from synthetic materials like plastic deity coverings, artificial threads, or metal diya stands. This makes our sorting process significantly faster and ensures we can channel each material to its correct recycling stream.

Why Your Festive Waste Matters

When we celebrate, we create waste. Flowers, garlands, and ceremonial cloth often end up in rivers or landfills, polluting our water bodies and soil. We believe that our devotion shouldn't come at the cost of our city's health. By processing festive waste separately, we turn potential pollutants into resources.

What We Accept at the Mandir Unit

We have set up a specialized collection point at the Prachin Hanuman Aur Shani Dev Mandir specifically to handle the unique nature of festive materials:

  • Organics: We compost marigold flowers, rose petals, and banana leaves, turning them into nutrient-rich soil.
  • Synthetics: We collect fabrics like Chunri and Kalawa to be repurposed or used for fuel, preventing them from choking drains.
  • Ceremonial Items: We handle the dignified disposal of terracotta and clay idols to prevent river pollution.

How to Participate

  • Location: Drop off your items at the Mandir Unit, Sector 26, Gurugram.
  • Timings: We are open daily from 8 AM to 5 PM, except on public holidays.
  • Preparation: Please rinse plastic containers and ensure glass items are not broken. If you are bringing a large volume after a major festival like Diwali or Navratri, please reach out to us first so we can manage the flow.

This is a community effort. When you drop off your waste, you aren't just cleaning up your home; you are joining 30+ residential societies that have already helped us divert over 20,000 kg of festive waste from landfills. Chalo milke karein—let's keep our celebrations clean and meaningful.
