Our Collective Impact on Gurgaon's Environment
We look at our city and see what's being lost. Here is how we are working with citizens to restore our forests, manage dry waste, and bring back the peace that only nature gives.
Come with us on a quick tour of our Dry Waste Collection Units. We show you how simple it is to turn your household waste into a valuable resource. Waste isn't waste until we waste it.
The numbers speak for themselves. Together, we have collected over 4,05,455 KG of dry household waste, preventing it from ending up in landfills, clogging drains, or polluting our soil. This is the power of community action.
This is what the future of environmental stewardship looks like. We worked with 300 students from 6 local schools to plant 650 native saplings, transforming a former waste dump into the thriving Aravali Nagar Van.
Ready to be part of the solution? Here are our four main dry waste collection units across Gurgaon. We are open seven days a week to accept your segregated dry household waste and special puja items.
An old pair of spectacles can change a life. This simple graphic shows how your donations become the gift of sight for someone in need through our partnership with the Lenskart Foundation.
Watch our team in action sorting through donated clothes. Every garment you drop off is diverted from a landfill and given a new life, either by being upcycled into new products or recycled into fibre.
This was Sikanderpur Pahadi before we began our work. A forest silenced by over 500 tonnes of waste. Today, it is a comeback story, a thriving ecosystem with clean water and returning biodiversity, soon to be opened to the public.
Meet Safilkool, one of our everyday eco-heroes at the Samadhaan Hub. For two years, he has guided thousands of citizens, ensuring every piece of waste is correctly sorted for recycling. Our work is powered by dedicated people like him.
About Featured
Every time you drop off segregated waste at our hubs, you aren't just cleaning up your home; you are directly fueling a circular economy. From plastic wrappers being repurposed to old spectacles being restored for someone in need, your household items skip the landfill entirely when you sort them correctly at our collection points.
Our work is rooted in the belief that waste isn’t waste until we waste it. We have built a system that connects everyday citizens with real environmental impact. By setting up dry waste collection units like Samadhaan Hub and Creek 56, we make it simple for anyone in Gurgaon to divert plastic, paper, metal, and e-waste from overflowing landfills.
But we go beyond waste. We are restoring the Aravali landscape by reviving degraded forests and water bodies. This is heavy, muddy, ground-level work. When we talk about biodiversity, we aren't just planting random trees; we are carefully selecting native species like Dhok and Karonda that belong in this soil, allowing the ecosystem to heal itself.
This is a community movement. Whether it’s schools participating in clean-up drives, local artisans upcycling textiles into new products, or citizens dropping off puja waste to save our water bodies, every action counts. We invite you to be part of this shift. If you are ready to stop waiting for change and start making it, join us at one of our hubs or our next ecological restoration event.
Iamgurgaon
We’re just regular folks who got tired of seeing garbage near our hills and decided to do something about it. We don't believe in corporate jargon; we believe in rolling up our sleeves, planting native species, and showing up for the city we call home.
