About Eco-Restoration Projects
Why We Do What We Do
I see Gurgaon changing fast, and not always for the better. The green cover is shrinking, water bodies are turning into dumping grounds, and the air just isn’t what it used to be. Planting trees is good, but I believe real change comes from bringing back full ecosystems, not just adding greenery. That’s why I focus on restoring lost habitats, so future generations can feel that sukoon (peace) only nature gives.
What We Tackle
- Degraded land filled with construction and plastic waste
- Choked creeks and drains causing waterlogging and bad smells
- Disappearing native Aravali plants, birds, and insects
- Groundwater that’s just not getting recharged anymore
How I Work
- First, I organize big clean-up drives to clear out waste and invasive plants. It’s messy, but it’s the only way to give the land a fresh start.
- I plant only native Aravali plant species like Dhok and Chamrod, grown in our own nursery. These plants don’t need much water and create homes for local wildlife.
- Water body revival is a big part of my work. I de-silt and clean up bandhs (ponds) and creeks, which helps with groundwater recharge and keeps the city from flooding during heavy rains.
- I reuse cleared construction waste to make walkways and benches, so everyone can enjoy these wild spaces.
Real Impact
Projects like Chakkarpur Wazirabad Bundh and Sikanderpur Pahadi have gone from dump yards to wildscapes full of birds, butterflies, and clean water. It’s not perfect—sometimes progress is slow, and keeping these spaces clean is a constant fight. But with help from volunteers, schools, and local partners, we’re making a real difference, one patch at a time.

My Story
We’re Iamgurgaon, just regular folks who got tired of seeing कचरा (garbage) everywhere, especially near the hills. You know how it is—city growing, green shrinking, bundhs forgotten. So we rolled up our sleeves, started cleaning, planting, and connecting with the soil. That feeling when someone plants a tree for their kid, hoping for a better future—that’s our vibe. It’s about sukoon (peace) and leaving something good behind for Gurgaon’s next generation.
