About The Wasabi Woman: In the Wild
You might notice that many of the outfits featured here share a common trait: they are built with our signature anti-fit silhouette. This is about giving you room to breathe and move, whether you are dancing at a sangeet or grabbing brunch with friends, all while keeping those essential deep pockets tucked away.
Our clients, like Deepti and Anupriya, consistently tell us that the best part of wearing a Wasabi piece is the freedom it gives them. Whether you are browsing our festive fusion sets or looking for an everyday art-inspired kaftan, the goal is always the same: effortless elegance. Many of these photos show our pieces being worn at intimate house parties, Diwali gatherings, and Lohri celebrations, proving that you do not need tight, restrictive clothing to make a statement.
We work primarily with breathable, luxe fabrics like pure crepe, cotton silk, and Chanderi. These materials ensure that even during the peak of the festive season, you remain comfortable. If you see a print that catches your eye, know that it likely started as a painting I saw or an abstract concept we developed in the studio. We focus on slow fashion, meaning every piece is crafted with care by our local artisans. If you are unsure how to style a piece or which silhouette fits your body best, I offer one-on-one styling consultations to help you find that perfect match. We do not believe in squeezing into clothes. We believe in clothes that flow with you.
Wasabi
I am Shilpa, and I started Wasabi to flip the script on fashion. I believe your clothes should adapt to your body, not the other way around, so everything I design focuses on fluid, art-inspired prints and fabrics that actually let you breathe.
