About this collection
For a bride, the silhouette and fit are paramount. My process involves two physical fittings and structural reinforcements like double-layered can-can and built-in corsetry to ensure you feel secure and poised from the ceremony through to the final dance.
Every wedding ensemble begins with an intimate conversation at my HSR Layout studio in Bengaluru. We start by sketching your thoughts, choosing from premium fabrics like Moonga silk, velvet, or glass organza, and aligning on the mood you envision for your big day.
My design philosophy focuses on bringing the outdoors into your clothing. I interpret elements from nature—the texture of a petal, the flow of a vine, or the shifting colors of light—into detailed hand-embroidery. Whether you prefer heavy zardosi work for a grand wedding or delicate floral threads for a modern look, I ensure the motif complements your personality rather than overshadowing it.
Construction is as vital as the embroidery. For traditional lehengas, I include reinforced waistbands and heavy dori for a secure hold. If you opt for a contemporary silhouette, I integrate boning structures to provide a slimming, graceful fit.
The Design Journey
- Consultation: We discuss your vision and look through fabric samples.
- Design: I sketch the final concept, including embroidery patterns and fabric swatches.
- Creation: My skilled team works on the embroidery, beading, and structural tailoring.
- Fittings: We conduct at least two physical trials to adjust the drape and fit until it feels like a second skin.
