From Turf to National Selection
My training methodology is built on the benchmarks used at the National Camp level. I don't believe in generic drills. Every session is designed to address specific, high-performance needs, whether you are aiming for your first state-level tournament or fighting for a spot in the Junior India core group.
The Training Philosophy
My sessions at venues like the SAI Bangalore and the Karnataka State Hockey Stadium are split into three pillars:
- Tactical Awareness: We use pitch-side whiteboard sessions to map out formations (BS1-BS5) and decision-making scenarios before testing them on the turf.
- Technical Precision: We focus on high-repetition pressure receiving, eliminating skills, and drag flick techniques until they become second nature.
- Physical Conditioning: A player is only as good as their engine. I integrate hockey-specific strength and agility training—including weight training and endurance modules—to ensure you can maintain intensity until the final whistle.
