My Journey with Mehndi
Mehndi is my everything. I’m Saniya, born and raised in Mumbai, and for me, it’s more than just art - it’s pure emotion. Like I always say, ek dil hai, ek jaan hai, dono meri mehndi pe qurbaan (my heart and soul are dedicated to mehndi). Every line I draw, every dot, has my full attention.
My Approach: Finishing First
When I teach, I focus on finishing - getting every detail just right. Speed comes later, with practice. If you only chase speed, your work won’t look neat. So, we slow down, get the basics strong, and then the rest follows.
What You’ll Learn
- For beginners: you’ll start with cone handling techniques, learn pressure control, and master basic elements like dots, vines, and simple flowers.
- For those wanting more: we get into intricate filler patterns - grids, netting, and the tricks to making designs look professional. I’ll show you how shading and line thickness add depth, so your art stands out.
Styles We Dive Into
Once you’re comfortable, we take on bridal henna design lessons, sider mehndi style (side hand/arm designs), Khaliji patterns, and Pakistani fine-line details. Each style has its own vibe and challenge.
How We Practice
I keep it hands-on, with lots of work on paper and acrylic practice hands. Classes are personal, and I adjust the pace for you. I can travel anywhere in Mumbai for home lessons. Mehndi banate hain, dil se (let’s create mehndi, from the heart).
