I take couples to serene coastlines to capture their connection away from the city noise. From dramatic sunset cliffs to quiet morning waves, these are raw, cinematic stories set against the ocean.

About Romantic Beach Getaways

When we shoot at the beach, getting the perfect moment often means ignoring the camera completely. I often call out, "Matte matte, eradane take," because the first attempt is usually just you warming up. By the second take, the stiffness fades, and we capture the real, laughing version of you that I am actually looking for.

Coastal locations offer a unique canvas that city parks simply cannot match. When I plan a beach getaway for a pre-wedding shoot, I am not just looking for a pretty backdrop. I am looking for the wind, the texture of the waves, and the way the light hits the water at golden hour.

My approach to these shoots is typically structured over two days. We start with a sunset session on day one to catch those deep, moody colors. Then, we return for a sunrise session on day two. This schedule allows us to use different lighting conditions and outfits, giving you a wider variety of photos.

Why consider a beach shoot?

  • Natural Movement: The beach forces you to move. Whether you are running along the shore or sitting in the sand, you are rarely standing still in a stiff pose. This brings out genuine body language.
  • Cinematic Scale: I use drone shots to capture the vastness of the ocean against the intimacy of the two of you. It makes for a powerful visual contrast.
  • Styled Details: We can integrate props like fairy lights, lanterns, or a rustic picnic setup on the sand for those quiet, after-dark moments.

We often travel to locations like Honnavar for these shoots. If you are worried about the logistics, do not be. I handle the planning, but since these are destination shoots, we simply coordinate the travel and stay for the crew ahead of time. You just focus on each other.
