Tabla & Percussion for Film & OTT Scores
From intense background scores to soulful melodies, I bring the precision of Punjab Gharana to your cinematic projects.
A clip from 'Bandish Bandits Season 2' featuring my tabla work. Recording for OTT platforms requires precision and the ability to deliver specific rhythmic moods that enhance the on-screen narrative.
The official poster for the song 'Mahakaal Mahakaali' from the film 'The Bhootnii'. I performed as part of the multi-percussion team, contributing to the track's massive and powerful soundscape.
The credit slate for the song 'Teri Bangari' from 'The Rabbit House'. It was a pleasure to add the traditional touch of tabla to this beautiful folk-inspired film song.
About this collection
Scoring for film and OTT requires more than just rhythm. It demands a musician who can watch the screen, sync perfectly with a click track, and react to the director’s vision in real-time. Whether you need a delicate tabla layer for a tense BGM cue or a powerful percussion arrangement for a musical sequence, I am comfortable working in your studio or recording remotely with a 48-hour delivery timeline.
My work in film and web series scoring is built on a foundation of discipline. When I step into a studio, whether for a massive soundscape like 'The Bhootnii' or a character-driven series like 'Bandish Bandits Season 2', my goal is to serve the narrative.
My Approach to Scoring
- Visual Sync: I am comfortable playing to video cues and click tracks, ensuring the percussion hits exactly when the story needs it.
- Versatility: My training in the Punjab Gharana allows me to switch from traditional classical rhythms to modern fusion or folk-inspired grooves seamlessly.
- Studio Flexibility: I offer both in-studio sessions in Mumbai, where I can collaborate with engineers on mic placement, and high-resolution remote recordings for quick turnaround projects.
Technical Delivery
I treat every track as a serious commitment. For remote projects, I deliver high-resolution 24-bit/48kHz WAV files. My home setup is acoustically treated to ensure clean stems, and I always include two rounds of minor adjustments to make sure the rhythm sits perfectly in your mix. I bring my own Tabla, Dholak, and auxiliary percussion like ghungroos to add texture to your arrangements. Let’s create something honest and rhythmic together.
