About Family & Parent Portraits
I keep my family portrait sessions unhurried, often spanning 3 to 4 hours in my Mumbai studio. This gives us plenty of time to accommodate feeding breaks, outfit changes, or simply letting siblings and pets feel comfortable in front of the camera, ensuring we catch those genuine, relaxed expressions rather than forced smiles.
When you book a family portrait session, my goal is to strip away the pressure. You do not need to worry about your baby crying or your toddler needing a break. The studio is equipped to handle the reality of life with a newborn.
What to expect during your session
We start with the most important part: the connection. I guide you through poses that encourage natural interaction, like cuddling, whispering, or just admiring your little one. For older siblings, I engage them with play, ensuring they feel like a vital part of the shoot rather than just a subject being told to sit still. If you have furry family members, they are absolutely welcome to join for a few frames to complete the picture.
Styling and Themes
While I focus on candid moments, we can also integrate creative elements. We can include stylized themes like Harry Potter or Jungle Safari if you want to add a playful touch. For wardrobe, I recommend parents stick to solid colors—black or white work beautifully—to keep the focus squarely on your faces and the baby. I provide the swaddles and props, so you only need to bring yourselves and any personal items that make your family feel at home.
Safety First
As a trained professional in newborn handling, your baby's safety is non-negotiable. Everything from the bean bags and props to the fabrics is sanitized using baby-safe detergents. Whether it is a solo newborn pose or a complex sibling shot, I use assistant-supported techniques to ensure everyone is secure, allowing you to relax and actually enjoy the experience.
