Welcome to our happy place at Malabar Hill. I’ve poured my heart into every corner to create a space that feels like a second home, from our peaceful morning prayer corner to our cozy nooks for reading and sharing secrets.
We believe in learning on the move. Through fun gross motor activities like hopping, balancing, and navigating obstacle courses, children build coordination, strength, and confidence with every joyful step.
Squishing, rolling, and shaping play-doh is more than just fun. It’s a fantastic way for children to build the fine motor skills and hand strength they need for writing and other important daily tasks.
Our phonics program makes learning to read a fun and natural process. We start with letter sounds and formations, then gently progress to blending sounds and reading simple sentences, ensuring every child feels successful.
Story time is never boring here. We bring tales like 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' to life with interactive crafts, helping children connect with the story and proudly show off their creative work.
Nothing makes us prouder than seeing our drama graduates return as interns to help the next group of tiny tots. This is the heart of our Happykidds family, a journey that comes full circle.

When we started Happy Kidds two decades ago, our goal was simple: to create a space that felt less like a classroom and more like a family. We know that children learn best when they are happy, safe, and free from the pressure of formal structures. That is why our play-based learning at our Churchgate and Malabar Hill centers is designed to look like play, even though it is carefully structured to build essential skills.
The Full Circle Experience
One of the most rewarding parts of our journey is seeing our tiny tots grow up, attend our drama and confidence-building classes, and eventually return as interns to teach the new batch of toddlers. It is a full-circle experience that proves how strong our community really is. We are not just teaching phonics or motor skills, we are building a foundation for how they interact with the world.
How We Work
We focus on two key areas for our youngest members:
- Fine Motor Skills: Through squishing dough, lacing, and puzzles, we strengthen the hands that will eventually learn to write.
- Gross Motor Skills: Our obstacle courses and balance beams help build coordination and focus, allowing kids to burn energy while learning body control.
