The Art in Motion: How I Apply Mehndi
Ever wonder how those intricate patterns actually come together? Here is a close-up look at my application process, the flow of the henna cone, and the steady hand it takes to create these designs.
Watch as I fill in a large floral motif, demonstrating the shading techniques that give the design a three-dimensional feel.
This split-screen video shows both the close-up application and the full view of the bridal design as it comes to life.
A moment from a birthday henna session, showing the creation of a delicate flower. I use only pure, organic henna for all my clients.
This clip shows the application of a bold floral and vine design, perfect for learning how to create striking Arabic-style patterns.
A satisfying video showing the application of a beautiful, flowing vine pattern. Notice the consistency of the lines, a key skill we practice in my workshops.
About this collection
What you see in these clips is the exact 'coneology' I teach in my workshops. Notice the pressure control when I create those fine floral vines—this consistent flow is the difference between a shaky design and one that looks sharp and professional. If you want to master this balance, we start with these exact grips during my sessions at my Shivaji Nagar studio.
Why I Film My Process
I believe in transparency. When you are looking for a mehndi artist or a teacher, you should see exactly how the work is done. These videos show my real-time application process, from the initial sketch to the final details. You can see that I don't use shortcuts; it is all about steady, deliberate movement.
What You Will Learn
If you have been watching these videos and thinking you want to try it yourself, that is exactly why I started offering classes. My workshops go beyond just drawing. We break down the technical side of things:
- Cone Grip & Pressure: You cannot get fine, consistent lines if you are holding the cone wrong. We spend time fixing your hand placement first.
- Flow & Shading: Those 3D effects you see in my reels are about understanding how to layer and shade properly.
- Organic Henna: I exclusively use pure, organic henna. You will learn how to identify quality paste, which is the only way to get that deep, rich stain.
My Approach to Teaching
Whether you are a total beginner who has never held a cone or a hobbyist looking to sharpen your skills for the next family wedding, I have a program for you. I offer 1-on-1 sessions if you want undivided attention, or group workshops if you learn better with others. I don't believe in gatekeeping techniques. My goal is to get your mehndi game strong so you can create designs that you are proud of.

Hi, I'm Hajira. Mehndi is pure joy for me, and I love sharing that through both my art and my classes here in Bengaluru. I don’t believe in keeping tricks hidden—I’d much rather teach you how to master the cone yourself.
