About Behind the Cone: My Process
Getting that deep, dark stain starts long before the wedding day. It is about the consistency of the henna paste, the pressure control in your hand, and the rhythm of the cone. In my classes, we do not just copy patterns. I break down the mechanics—how to hold the cone, how to shade with dots, and how to mix your own organic paste—so your work has that clean, professional finish you see in my own designs.
Whether you have never held a cone or you are already sketching and want to master the bridal look, my online courses are designed to take you from hobbyist to professional.
We start with the fundamentals. If you are a beginner, we focus on cone mechanics, pressure control, and basic strokes like swirls, paisleys, and clean lines. I provide live, real-time feedback on your hand movements, which is the only way to build the muscle memory required for this craft.
For those aiming for the big league, the advanced curriculum dives into the complex work. We cover figurative art—like drawing detailed doli and peacock motifs—and advanced cutwork using negative space. You will also learn the science of henna: how to mix your own organic paste, roll your own cones, and use a lemon-sugar sealant to ensure a stain that actually lasts.
My classes are not about shortcuts. They are about practice, patience, and understanding the 'why' behind every element. I offer everything from the Beginner Foundation course to the Pro Diploma, which includes a business guide on client management and social media portfolio building. If you are ready to put in the time, I am here to share every technique I have perfected as a certified artist in Mumbai.
