Learn Professional Mehendi Design in Bengaluru
Whether you are picking up a cone for the first time or looking to master bridal patterns, these workshops teach you the technique behind the perfect stain. See how we go from basic lines on paper to intricate designs.
This is where it all begins. In my beginner class, we start with the absolute fundamentals on paper to build your confidence, focusing on steady lines, perfect dots, spirals, and humps before ever touching skin.
Once you are comfortable with the basics, we move on to combining them into simple patterns. Here you can see a practice session for creating different types of checks and net patterns, a key element in many henna designs.
To help you practice effectively, I provide specialized workbooks in my classes. These include templates for fingers, hands, and feet, along with dedicated spaces for practicing filling elements to build your muscle memory.
This is a great example of a modern Arabic-style design that combines simple floral work with bold lines and net patterns on the fingers. My classes will teach you the core elements needed to create beautiful, contemporary henna like this.
Watch the process of creating an intricate floral mandala, a popular centerpiece for many Arabic henna designs. I focus on teaching clean linework and shading techniques to make your designs pop.
A look at the process behind a full bridal henna design, from the initial cuff to the final intricate details on both arms. This level of artistry is what we can aspire to, built upon the foundation of basic elements.
About Featured
Before you book a class, you should know that I teach using the exact same homemade organic henna paste I use for my bridal clients. It is not just about drawing lines, it is about learning the right pressure and cone consistency to get that dark stain naturally. We start with simple cone control drills on paper before moving to skin, so you gain confidence at your own pace without feeling overwhelmed.
My Approach to Teaching
I believe anyone can learn the art of mehendi if they are taught the fundamentals correctly. My workshops are designed to strip away the intimidation factor. Whether you are aiming for simple festival designs or complex bridal work, we focus on the 'why' behind the design, not just copying patterns.
What You Can Expect
-
The Foundation (5-Day Workshop): We spend the first few days purely on cone control and structural drills—straight lines, humps, dots, and spirals. These might seem basic, but they are the building blocks of every great design. You will practice these on paper until your hand is steady, then move to our reusable practice sheets.
-
Advanced Skill Building (15-Day Course): For those wanting to take it further, we dive into grid work, Arabic shading, and mandala geometry. We also cover the chemistry of mixing your own henna powder, oils, and essential oils to ensure that deep, rich stain that lasts.
Practical Details
All classes take place at my studio in Frazer Town, but I am happy to travel across Bengaluru for small group workshops if that is more convenient for you. You do not need to bring anything; I provide a complete starter kit, including my homemade organic cones and practice books, so you can practice at home.
If you have been waiting for a sign to start, this is it. Let us get your mehendi journey started.
