Festive & Cultural Event Decor
I blend traditional warmth with bold design, using deep red lighting and organic elements to ensure your festive celebration feels alive.
This video captures the vibrant energy of a pre wedding Lohri night I designed. From the custom table settings with vegetable centerpieces to the hanging floral installations and the lively Gidda performance, every element was curated to celebrate Punjabi heritage with flair.
Experience the warmth and joy of a traditional Lohri celebration through my design. This clip showcases the details, including the red ambient lighting, the unique use of vegetables in the decor, and the overall festive atmosphere created for the couple's special night.
About Festive & Cultural Celebrations
Bringing a festival to life means moving past standard marigolds and fairy lights. For this Lohri celebration, we used raw vegetables like colorful bell peppers and carrots as focal centerpieces, woven into the floral arrangements to create a texture that felt both grounded and opulent under the deep red ambient lighting.
When I design for traditional festivals like Lohri, I look for ways to honor the roots while bringing in a modern edge. The goal is to move away from generic decorations. Instead, I focus on tactile elements.
Designing with Purpose
Take the use of produce in this display. Vegetables are not just food. When styled correctly with lush foliage and the right lighting, they add an organic, rich texture to a table. It creates a space that feels abundant and full of life.
For festive and cultural celebrations, lighting is the second most important element. I lean towards warm, moody tones like deep red and amber to set an intimate stage. It transforms a standard venue into a space that feels like a private sanctuary for family and friends.
Planning Your Event
If you are planning an upcoming event, here are a few things I consider:
- The Space: Is it an indoor banquet or an outdoor lawn? The flow of the room dictates how we build the design.
- The Narrative: What story are we telling? Is it a lively Gidda night or a quiet family puja?
- The Details: Flowers, lighting, and props must all serve the theme without cluttering the view.
I design for clients across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area and can travel to locations across India. Every setup is built from scratch, so we have the flexibility to adjust the scale based on your budget and venue.
