About this collection
I start every transformation by manually clearing the site, which means removing all construction debris, weeds, and stones. This base preparation is the most critical step, as it ensures that the fertile red soil and new grass I lay down will actually take root and thrive in our local climate rather than fading after a few months.
When I take on a backyard or courtyard project, I see more than just a plot of land. I look at it as an opportunity to create a living space that feels like a natural oasis. Many of the spaces I work on in Mysuru and Bengaluru start as construction zones or barren patches, and my goal is to guide that transition into a functional green area.
My Process
- Site Clearing & Grading: Before any planting happens, we remove debris and level the ground to ensure proper drainage. This prevents waterlogging, which is a common headache in our region.
- Soil Health: I never skip the base work. We bring in high-quality red soil mixed with manure to create a nutrient-rich foundation for your lawn.
- Hardscaping: I believe a garden needs structure. Whether it is installing natural stone pathways, concrete pavers, or wooden decks, I aim for a balance between lush greenery and usable floor space.
- Plant Selection: I prefer hardy, local-friendly varieties like Plumeria, Bougainvillea, and Mexican or Bermuda grass for lawns. These plants are acclimatized to our weather, making your garden easier to maintain in the long run.
The Organic Approach
Just like my indoor plant setups, I avoid harsh chemicals. My landscaping maintenance includes prophylactic care—like using Neem oil for pest control—to keep your yard healthy and safe for pets and family. Whether you want a quiet corner for your morning coffee or a clean lawn for the kids to play on, we can design the layout around how you actually plan to use the space.
