We believe great flavour starts at the root. From seasonal winter turmeric to hand-selected whole spices, here is the story behind our small-batch blends.

These are my Turmeric Crisps, made from young, seasonal turmeric found only in the winter. They are less fibrous and cleaner in texture, making them extra crispy and flavourful.

This image highlights the many benefits of turmeric. It's a natural anti-inflammatory, supports gut health, boosts immunity, and provides a warming, cleansing effect, all packed into my turmeric crisps.

A close-up of fresh, raw turmeric root, known for its purity and natural richness. This is the source of the earthy depth and golden warmth you find in my turmeric products.

A fact check on ginger: it boosts digestion, breath, and warmth. My ginger crisps offer all these benefits, providing perfect after-meal care in a satisfying crunch.

This is the seasonal ginger, or adrak, that I use, harvested only in the winter months. It's known for its low fibre and clean texture, which gives my ginger crisps a smooth, natural crunch.

These are Chani Ber, a specialty fruit harvested only from December to February in Gujarat. I use these unique masala prunes to create a seasoning that adds a distinct fruity sourness, a testament to how I source special, regional ingredients for my blends.

A vibrant celebration of spices in my kitchen, like a 'Masalo ki Holi'. Here is a beautiful pile of green cardamom pods, one of the many aromatic ingredients I use in my blends.

The beautiful, complex textures of whole spices like cinnamon and mace. This is part of my 'Masalo ki Holi' series, showcasing the raw, natural ingredients that form the base of my masalas.

A stunning close-up of star anise, another key player in my spice blends. Its unique shape and liquorice-like flavour add a special aromatic note to many of my traditional masalas.

About From The Source: Pure & Whole Ingredients

We don't just source ingredients; we hunt for the right season. Our ginger and turmeric crisps are only made from young winter harvests. Because these roots are younger, they have significantly less fibre and a naturally cleaner texture, which gives you that perfect crunch without the woody bits often found in commercial powders.

Great cooking isn't about complicated chemicals; it is about respecting the raw material. In our Goregaon kitchen, we treat every ingredient like a memory.

The Art of the Grind

We avoid the high-speed industrial grinders that burn through natural oils. Instead, we use slow, low-temperature grinding techniques. This takes longer and is more labour-intensive, but it is the only way to ensure the aromatic oils—which carry the real flavour—stay in the jar and not in the air.

Seasonal Sourcing

We aren't a year-round factory for everything. Our specialty ingredients, like Chani Ber, are sourced during specific windows from December to February in Gujarat. By aligning our production with the harvest, we capture the produce at its peak potency.

No Fillers, No Compromises

When you buy our spice blends, you are getting spices. You won't find sawdust, artificial colours, or bulk fillers like wheat flour mixed into your Pav Bhaji or Sambhar masala. We use only whole spices—Coriander, Cumin, and Byadgi Chillies—dried in the sun and pounded to preserve their natural essence.

Why Ingredients Matter

  • Sun-Drying: Essential for maintaining the potency of raw roots.
  • Purity: We rely on Sendha Namak (Rock Salt) and natural spice oils for preservation and texture, avoiding synthetic additives.
  • Small Batches: We produce in limited quantities, meaning the jar you receive is as fresh as the day it was ground.

Whether it is the lace-like structure of mace (javitri) or the earthy depth of turmeric, we believe these details are what transform a dish from good to 'like home'.
