About this collection
Shooting in monochrome requires a shift in how I approach lighting. Without color to rely on, every shadow, texture, and contour becomes part of the composition. I use a controlled Godox lighting setup to emphasize form and mood, ensuring your headshots or editorial images stand out through clarity and intensity rather than distraction.
In portrait photography, color is often a distraction. When we move to a black and white format, the focus shifts entirely to the subject’s expression, the texture of the fabric, and the structural interplay of light and shadow. I approach monochrome shoots as an exercise in precision. Whether you are an actor needing a character-driven headshot or a model looking for a timeless editorial spread, this style forces us to strip back the image to its most powerful elements.
My studio at Nisarga Chambers in Mangalore is equipped to handle these high-contrast sessions, allowing for full control over lighting setups using my equipment. If the shoot requires an outdoor setting, we account for the natural contrast of the environment, whether we are shooting on a beach in Goa or an urban location in Bangalore.
