Traditional Gold, Modern Soul
Don't let your heirloom pieces sit forgotten in a locker. I help you reimagine your traditional 22kt gold jewellery into something you will love to wear, keeping the soul of the original piece alive.
We revamped this client's old Chandan Haar for her daughter's wedding. By adding polki pieces, emeralds, and lotus motifs, we made it elegant and new, and even resized her tight bangles to fit perfectly.
Old gold, new soul. We took a client's old gold necklace and transformed it into a heavy and festive Panch Lada Haar, enhancing it with intricate pearls, green stones, and polki.
Don't break your old Chandan Haars! We can recreate them. Here, we added colorful parrots and Navratna motifs to one, and temple jewellery pieces with Gutta Pusalu pearls to another for a royal look.
In part two of our Chandan Haar series, we showcase more transformations. We've added polki pieces, auspicious paisley motifs, and even combined a pendant to create heavy, festive looks perfect for weddings.
Inspired by Shabana Azmi and Genelia's style, our client from Hyderabad sent her old 22kt gold jewellery to be revamped into the Gutta Pusalu style, which features bunches of heavy rice pearls.
Shloka Mehta was seen wearing a traditional Mandaliya set, a design found in many Hindu households. Here are some of the best Mandaliya revamps we've done, giving them a modern and wearable look.
From Nani's old gold to her granddaughter's wedding. We used an old bangle and coins to create a beautiful long necklace and matching earrings, carrying the sentiments of three generations.
About this collection
We don't melt your gold. Instead, we dismantle your traditional pieces, clean them, and reassemble them with modern additions like pearls, Russian emeralds, or polki. This process keeps the original gold and its history intact, allowing us to turn a heavy, dated set into a fresh, wearable piece that fits your current wardrobe and style.
For many of us, traditional jewellery like Chandan Haars, Mandaliya sets, or temple jewellery are more than just accessories—they are family history. However, these pieces often stay in lockers because they don't suit modern outfits. My approach is to bridge that gap.
Whether you have an old necklace that feels too rigid or a set of bangles that just don't fit anymore, we have a way to fix it. We focus on structural remodelling rather than melting. We can take apart a single, heavy Chandan Haar and distribute those elements into a multi-strand necklace, or combine mismatched gold items into one cohesive, festive set.
If you have a specific look in mind—perhaps inspired by something you saw at a wedding or a celebrity’s traditional style—we can work with that. We use techniques like hand-woven pearl jaali and re-stringing with semi-precious beads to change the silhouette of the piece entirely.
My studio in Gamdevi, Mumbai, handles these transformations for clients across India. The process is transparent; we sketch ideas, choose the best gemstone accents, and then my artisans bring it to life. This is about making sure you can wear your blessings, not just store them. If you have a piece that feels too 'heavy' or 'traditional' for today, tell me about it, and let’s see how we can give it a new soul.
