Is your Husky or Spitz leaving a 'snowfall' of fur all over your house? We help double-coated breeds stay cool and comfortable with specialized de-shedding treatments that protect their natural topcoat.

How to bathe a Husky? It's a multi-step process involving patience, conditioning, de-shedding, and listening to them sing the song of their people. Ruby is now all clean and ready to go.

This is Akira, a 3-year-old Husky, undergoing a coat blowout. Using a high-velocity dryer, I can effectively remove the loose, dead undercoat, which is essential for their skin and coat health.

Meet Whiskey, a non-dramatic Husky who came in for a summer de-shedding. My technique focuses on removing the undercoat while the dog is wet to minimize the "snowfall" in the salon and achieve a deep clean.

This is what a comb running through a well-maintained Husky coat looks like. No snags, no pulling. This is the result of proper tools and techniques, not just brushing the top layer.

This witty Husky has been coming to me for over a year. He started out very difficult but has transformed into a comedic chatterbox. It's proof that patience, trust, and a consistent routine work wonders.

The never-ending process of drying a singing Husky. It takes time and patience, but the result of a fully dried, fluffy coat is always worth it.

Sky the Malamute's transformation is so satisfying. We removed a mountain of undercoat, leaving him with a coat that is light, clean, and healthy.

About this collection

We use a 'Close-Open-Close' method during your dog's bath. This involves conditioning before and after the shampoo, which loosens the dead undercoat while the dog is wet, significantly reducing the amount of loose fur in your home after the session.

Managing a double-coated breed like a Husky, Malamute, or Indian Spitz is a commitment. These breeds have a thick undercoat that acts as insulation, keeping them warm in winter and cool in summer. If you shave or clipper this coat, you ruin that natural regulation, which can actually cause heatstroke and skin issues.

Our approach is simple: we remove the dead hair, not the healthy coat.

Our De-Shedding Process

We start with a thorough health assessment. If we find heavy matting, we will be honest with you about the safest way to remove it without pain. For standard de-shedding, we use high-velocity dryers to blast out the trapped undercoat that regular household brushing just cannot reach. We pair this with specialized rakes and slicker brushes designed specifically for thick coats.

Why It Works

By removing the dead hair effectively in the salon, we help your dog’s skin breathe. This process also drastically reduces the amount of fur you find on your floors, couches, and clothes for weeks after the visit. For breeds like the Indian Spitz, we often move to hand-scissoring once the undercoat is managed, which gives a much more natural, soft finish than clippers ever could.

Your Role at Home

We view grooming as a partnership. While we handle the deep work here at our Whitefield and Sarjapur studios, we will show you exactly which tools work best for your dog's specific hair type for maintenance between professional visits. Consistent home care means your dog stays more comfortable, and our next de-shedding session becomes a lot faster and less stressful for them.
