About this collection
We know that during a traditional Seemantham or baby shower, the rituals move fast and the hall can get quite busy. That is why we use fast prime lenses that excel in low light, allowing us to document those sacred, emotional moments between the mother-to-be and her family without needing to use bright, distracting flashes that might disrupt the ceremony.
Our Approach to Maternity & Baby Showers
For us, the months leading up to a new arrival are some of the most special chapters in a family's story. We split our focus into two distinct styles: the traditional, ritual-heavy ceremonies and the more relaxed, intimate portrait sessions.
Documenting the Ceremony Whether it is a Valaikaappu or a Seemantham, we understand these events are deeply rooted in tradition. We aim to capture the candid interactions—the blessing rituals, the emotional exchange between the mother and her parents, and the joy of extended family gathering together. We focus on the background details and guest expressions, ensuring you have a complete record of the day beyond just the posed stage photos.
Maternity Portrait Sessions These are entirely about you and your partner. We prefer working in natural light, whether that is in a quiet corner of a Bengaluru park like Cubbon Park or in the comfort of your own home. We avoid stiff, forced posing. Instead, we provide gentle direction, encouraging you to interact naturally, laugh, and focus on the excitement of the upcoming milestone. This style results in images that feel authentic to who you are as a couple.
