When planning your outdoor flooring, the choice comes down to budget, maintenance, and the specific vibe you want. We generally work with two main materials:

Brazilian Ipe Hardwood

This is the premium choice for a reason. Ipe is incredibly dense, fire-resistant, and can last 70 to 80 years if maintained well. It provides a natural, timeless look, but it does require oiling once a year to keep the rich color from fading. It is an investment, but for a high-end terrace or a permanent gazebo, nothing else matches the feel underfoot.

Wood Plastic Composite (WPC)

If you want the look of wood without the maintenance, WPC is the practical winner. It is resistant to rot and termites, making it perfect for balconies in Bangalore or Gurgaon that deal with heavy rain and harsh sun. It lasts 15-20 years with almost zero upkeep. The downside is that it can expand slightly in extreme heat and scratch easier than hardwood, so we advise picking solid-core planks for better durability.

Our Installation Process

Regardless of the material, we focus on the foundation.

1. Surface Leveling: We ensure the base is chipped and screeded properly so water flows to the drain, not into your house.
2. Grid System: We anchor a rust-proof MS or Aluminum joist grid to the slab.
3. Finish: We use a hidden SS-304 grade clip system for both Ipe and WPC. This means no exposed screws, so your deck is completely barefoot-friendly and looks seamless.
