About this collection
You know how heavy bridal dupattas can pull on your hair or slip off during long rituals? I don't use just any pin. I use a stitched hair clip method that anchors the dupatta securely, so you can dance or sit through hours of ceremony without worrying about it slipping or damaging your hairstyle.
My approach to draping is simple: it needs to be secure, comfortable, and sharp. Having spent 15 years in the beauty industry, I’ve seen enough sarees come undone because of poor pinning or rushing. My focus is on the foundation. For heavy Kanjivaram silks, I prioritize structural stability—using techniques that define your silhouette rather than just wrapping the fabric.
Why my draping stands out
- Secure Foundation: I use specialized pinning techniques, including stitched hair clips for dupattas, so your drape withstands sitting, dancing, and movement.
- Pleat Perfection: Whether you prefer puffy pleats or the classic flat style, I hand-press them so they fan out perfectly for your photos.
- Modern & Traditional: I am comfortable with everything from traditional South Indian muhurtham looks to contemporary reception drapes like Mermaid or Coorgi styles.
The 'Pre-Pleated' Convenience
If you have a destination wedding or simply want to save time, I offer a professional pre-pleating and box-folding service. I steam-iron and set the pleats based on your specific waist and hip measurements. When you receive your saree, it is ready to wear in minutes. This is ideal for managing stiff fabrics like organza or heavy silk without the stress of manual folding on the wedding day. If you want to learn these techniques yourself, I also conduct dedicated hands-on draping and makeup classes at my studio in Binnipete.
