The secret to these sleepy, peaceful portraits is timing. I always recommend booking for when your baby is 5 to 15 days old. This is their dreamiest phase, as they are still curled up and sleepy, which helps me safely capture those precious, unposed moments without any fuss.
A Window into the First Days
When I look back at my own collection of featured work, I see more than just photos. I see the tiny yawns, the soft swaddles, and the relief in a mother's eyes when she realizes her baby is safe, comfortable, and being handled with love. My studio in Ghatkopar West is designed for exactly this. It is a calm, temperature-controlled space where the only goal is to let your baby be a baby.
My Approach to Your Session
My style is grounded in reality. Whether we are doing a styled studio session with wraps and props or a family lifestyle shoot in your home, I stay away from stiff, artificial posing. Safety is my number one priority, especially for newborns. I rely on natural light and gentle techniques to ensure your little one stays relaxed. If you are worried about your baby fussing or being fussy, please know that this is entirely normal. I allow plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and just giving everyone the space to settle into the rhythm of the shoot.
Why the 5–15 Day Window Matters
Parents often ask why the 5 to 15-day window is so crucial. During these first two weeks, babies naturally maintain that ‘newborn curl’ and tend to sleep soundly through the session. This is the sweet spot where we can safely create those artistic poses without interrupting their peace. If you are past this window, do not worry. I have worked with older babies too and can adjust our flow to capture their developing personalities just as beautifully.
