About Our Homemade Mithai (Sweets)
Making sweets at home is a labor of love, and I handle every batch myself to ensure the texture stays perfect. Whether you need a small box of Besan Barfi for a quick craving or a larger hamper for a family pooja, I prepare everything fresh to order. My kitchen does not stock ready-made sweets; I start the process only when you reach out, so you get the exact same freshness you would find on my own dining table.
When you buy sweets from a store, you often get products that have been sitting on shelves for weeks, packed with preservatives to extend shelf life. That is the opposite of how I work at Food Affaire.
My approach to mithai is simple: keep it traditional and keep it pure.
The Ingredients Everything starts with 100% pure desi ghee. I never use palm oil, dalda, or artificial colors. Whether it is my signature Marwari Boondi Laddoos, loaded with kesar and almonds, or my gluten-free Besan Barfi, you are tasting actual ingredients, not additives.
The Process I believe in a 'fresh-to-order' philosophy. If you place an order for a festive hamper or a sweet box for a birthday, I begin prepping only then. This means the crunch in the boondi or the soft melt-in-your-mouth texture of the barfi is as fresh as it gets.
Customization for Your Needs Because I run my kitchen, I can easily tweak things.
- Need less sugar? Let me know.
- Planning a specific pooja and need a certain weight or quantity?
- Looking for a mix of sweets and savory snacks (like my Chaska Papdi) for a housewarming party?
I can put together a hamper that fits exactly what you have in mind. If you are in South Delhi or across NCR, feel free to ping me for last-minute requirements. I will always try my best to accommodate.
