Behind the Scenes: How We Create Your Resin Keepsakes
Welcome to my studio, where the IT life meets the resin art hustle. Get a peek into the real, messy, and glittery journey of turning your memories into art.
This is me, Simran. By day, I work in IT, and by passion, I'm a resin artist. I've been juggling both for six years, with studios in Nagarbhavi and Kammanahalli. This is my double life, and I love it.
Running a resin art studio might look aesthetic, but it's chaos behind the scenes. From bubbles and spills to managing a full-time IT job, it's a lot. But six years later, I'm still here, creating and believing.
This is where it all began, my first studio in Nagarbhavi. This video gives you a little tour, shows some ongoing projects, and introduces you to Rashmi and Reshma, who help me keep everything running.
A tour of my new studio. After 5 years and over 2000 orders, I'm so happy to share this beautiful space with you all. Thank you for all your support and for trusting me with your precious memories.
Some days feel like the end. The rain shattered days of work, leaving behind broken pieces. It's heartbreaking, but the work doesn't stop. For every artist, the struggle is unseen, but the drive is unbreakable.
Many of you asked about the piece that got over a million views and then broke. This video shows how I fixed it. Thankfully, resin is so versatile that pieces can often be modified and saved.
Let me spill some secrets. The quality of your resin art comes down to using premium materials, being patient with layers, and knowing how to use your tools. Good art takes hours, love, and the right supplies.
We small business owners know you by your name and your stories, not your order number. Every piece I make is filled with love and the feeling you had when you placed the order.
The struggle of a small business artist trying to find that perfect "golden hour" light for a reel. We are like sunflowers, always chasing the sun to get the perfect shot of our work.
If pouring resin had music, this would be it. It's the most satisfying part of the process for me, watching the clear liquid flow and transform the piece.
About My Art Journey: Behind the Scenes
The finish you see in my gallery is the result of patience, layers, and some serious humidity monitoring. Working with resin isn't just a creative process, it is a technical one that requires balancing the right chemistry with the right timing for every single pour.
I started this journey in a tiny Nagarbhavi studio while juggling a full-time IT job. Now, with studios in both Nagarbhavi and Kammanahalli, I am still that same person who gets anxious about dust particles ruining a top coat. My approach is simple: if it is not luxury quality, it does not leave my table. I source premium, anti-yellowing resin because your memories deserve better than cheap materials that fade.
When you entrust me with your wedding varmala or a special keepsake, I treat it as if it were my own. The process is never rushed. Flowers undergo a 20-day professional dehydration process to keep their shape, and each pour is monitored for bubbles and consistency. I have learned the hard way that you cannot force resin to set faster. Whether it is a complex engagement platter or a simple nameplate, I handle the design, the pouring, and the finishing touches personally. If you have a specific vision, let's talk about how we can craft it into something that lasts.
