A behind-the-scenes look at how I turn plant-based oils and butters into soap. It takes four weeks of patience, but the result is worth the wait.

The texture of my handmade Lavender Soap comes to life through pure botanical infusions. I spent weeks infusing oils with organic botanicals to achieve this perfect, dusty lavender hue without any lab-made colors.

If nature made a smoothie for your skin, it would look exactly like this. This slow pour is a reminder that skincare should be an experience, not a chore. No synthetics, no shortcuts, just pure, plant-powered goodness.

Finally, a "thirst trap" that actually hydrates. I'm pouring a batch of my French Rose soap, made with pure Pink French Clay and plant-based ingredients. It’s a spa day in a bar, without the hefty price tag.

The secret to good skincare? Keep it simple and keep it plant-based. Watching this slow pour of natural soap batter is your daily reminder to breathe and embrace the art of slow living.

Warning: watching this may result in accidental inner peace. There’s something so therapeutic about a slow, intentional skincare routine that respects your skin barrier. No toxins, no rush, just clean ingredients and a healthy glow.

What if your daily wash was a quiet moment of rejuvenation? From blending the ingredients to the final hand-cut bar, my process is about appreciating the simple good things and creating a healthy, nourishing ritual for you.

This is not dessert, it's your new shower staple. Watch the slow and satisfying process of creating my Handcrafted Vanilla Bean Soap, infused with rich Cocoa Butter and pure Vanilla Essential Oil for a clean beauty experience.

Your shower needs an intervention, and this is it. The creamy goodness you're watching is the difference between a harsh cleanse and true nourishment. I use pure, wholesome plant-based ingredients for a completely chemical-free experience.

You just leveled up your shower routine to "goddess tier". This Turmeric Saffron pour is my new therapy. The color payoff is unreal, like bottling up sunshine and turning it into the most luxurious soap you'll ever use.

The entrepreneur journey is a marathon, not a sprint. Some days I crush it, other days I just persist. This is a glimpse into the slow and steady work of building my dream, one batch of soap at a time.

About The Art of Cold-Process Soapmaking

I don't use speed-up additives, so every batch you see here spends a minimum of four weeks curing on my studio shelves. This isn't just to make the bar hard; it allows the water to evaporate naturally, creating a concentrated, long-lasting bar that doesn't melt away in your shower within a week.

The 4-Week Patience

When you see these slow, thick pours in my studio, you're witnessing the start of a month-long journey. The cold-process method I use is intentionally slow. By not using external heat, I preserve the integrity of the essential oils and the botanical properties of my plant-based butters like Shea, Cocoa, and Kokum.

Why This Method Matters

In my Malad West workshop, I control the environment to ensure each batch reaches its peak. Commercial soaps are often made in minutes and stripped of their natural glycerin. My soap retains all that natural moisture, which is why it feels creamy and nourishing on your skin rather than drying it out.

How I Work

  • The Pour: I mix oils at specific temperatures to get that perfect, silky consistency.
  • The Cut: After the soap sets in the mold, I hand-cut each loaf. This is the 'messy' part of the job, but it ensures every bar has that artisanal feel.
  • The Cure: This is the most crucial phase. The soap sits in my studio, breathing and hardening. It’s a quiet, passive process, but it’s the secret behind a bar that stays firm in your soap dish.

Whether it’s a Turmeric Saffron batch for brightening or a French Rose clay bar for detoxing, this slow process ensures that what hits your skin is as pure and honest as the ingredients I started with.

I’m the one behind Fika, and my studio in Malad West is where I pour my obsession with plant-based skincare into every batch. I’ve traded fast production for the slow, messy, and rewarding work of hand-cutting each slab myself. If you’ve ever wondered why your store-bought soap melts so fast, it’s because it didn’t get the four weeks of patience mine do.
