Most people think training is a course with a start and end date. It is not. Real dog training is like learning a language. If you stop speaking it, you forget the words. My approach focuses on building a foundation that becomes second nature for both you and your dog. When I work with a dog, I am not teaching them tricks to perform for a treat. I am developing their instinct, drive, and respect for the handler.

The Role of the Owner

I always say that training works best when the owner commits. Hugo is a perfect example because his owner never stopped being a leader. Even after the initial residential program was finished, they maintained the structure at home. That is why he can return to the field after years and perform as if he never left. This is the difference between a dog that obeys because they are afraid and a dog that obeys because they respect you.
