Trade the classroom for our fields. We host student groups and workshops that turn abstract science and environmental lessons into dirt-under-the-fingernails reality.

About this collection

During these visits, your group won't just walk around; every student gets to participate in active tasks like harvesting seasonal vegetables or trying their hand at the potter's wheel. We provide all the necessary tools and guidance, so the only thing they need to bring is curiosity and a pair of old shoes for the mud.

We started this because we saw too many kids who thought vegetables grew on supermarket shelves. At Farmus, we turn that idea upside down by creating a living classroom.

What Students Experience

Our workshops are designed to be active, not observational. Whether it is a school excursion or a weekend educational group, students dive straight into the process:

  • Harvesting: Depending on the season, kids learn to identify and pull carrots, radishes, or pluck fresh tomatoes.
  • Soil Education: We talk about what goes into the mitti (soil) and why that matters for the food we eat.
  • Pottery & Creativity: Hands-on sessions that help with sensory development and focus.
  • Wild Food Walks: We often host deeper dives into local ecology, identifying edible weeds and medicinal greens, showing participants that nature isn't 'out there'—it is right here in our urban landscapes.

Practical Details for Schools

We know school trips need to be managed, structured, and safe. We keep our batches small to ensure every child gets personal attention from our team. We handle the logistics of tools and safety, and provide a space where the noise of the city is replaced by the sounds of the farm. If you are an educator or a parent looking to bring a group, please reach out to discuss your specific curriculum needs. We are happy to tailor the experience to be more focused on composting, organic farming, or seasonal foraging.
