Breathwork & Embodiment Sessions
Your breath is a powerful tool to reconnect with yourself. I guide you through active breathwork and meditation to help you slow down, release stress, and find your calm—wherever you are.
Breath is the source, the vital force that sustains us. By becoming aware of our breath, we can cultivate mindfulness, reduce stress, and enhance our well-being. This is the foundation of my breathwork practice.
Breathwork is a practice of consciously controlling your breathing to enhance physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It can range from simple deep breathing to more structured methods used in meditation and therapy.
A snapshot from a recent online breathwork session. A prominent message that came through was to not use logic everywhere and instead drop into the heart space. It is an honor to hold space for such profound healing.
This was a milestone day, facilitating my first two breathwork sessions. I am filled with gratitude for the trust placed in me. These sessions remind us of the beauty of being present and embracing the power of pause.
Another beautiful online breathwork session. It is a privilege to guide clients on their journey inward, using the breath as an anchor to the present moment. Each session is a unique exploration of release and reconnection.
My setup for an online breathwork session, complete with a singing bowl, crystals, and a candle to create a sacred, calming atmosphere. Even from a distance, we can create a powerful space for healing.
The tools I use to support my breathwork sessions, including a rainstick, singing bowl, and crystals. These elements help ground the energy and deepen the experience of dropping into the heart space.
My journey with yoga has taught me the value of slowing down and tuning in. It has shown me the incredible capabilities of my body and helped me work through deep-seated fears. Mind over matter is a beautiful union.
There is so much power in keeping the promises you make to yourself. This year, I promised to take care of my body. Showing up for myself, even on low-sleep days, helps move stuck energy and emotions.
About Breathwork & Embodiment
We start with a 10-minute briefing on the specific technique—like circular or box breathing—followed by 35-40 minutes of active, guided breathwork. Please prepare a comfortable space where you can lie down undisturbed, as our goal is to move you out of the logic-heavy mind and into the heart space using rhythmic pacing and sound tools like Tibetan singing bowls.
A Space to Just Breathe
My breathwork sessions are virtual, simple, and deeply human. We are not here to perform or reach a state of perfection. The process begins 24 hours before we meet with a digital intake form, ensuring I understand your emotional intent and any health contraindications. This allows us to jump straight into the heart of the matter once we connect on Zoom.
What Happens in a Session
- The Check-in: We begin with a briefing on the breathing method we are using, such as circular or box breathing.
- Active Breathwork: For 35-40 minutes, you will be guided through continuous, rhythmic breathing. I use curated playlists and sounds like Tibetan singing bowls or chimes to help you regulate your nervous system.
- Integration: We end with 10-15 minutes of stillness (Savasana) to let the sensations settle. This is often where the most profound shifts happen.
Why This Approach Matters
Many of us live entirely in our heads, over-analyzing every decision. Breathwork is a somatic practice—it forces you to drop out of the logic center and into the body. It is highly effective for emotional release and reducing stress.
Post-Session Care
Because this work can stir up a lot of energy, I provide specific verbal guidance on hydration and grounding foods to consume after the call. The real work happens after the session, in how you carry that stillness back into your daily routine.
Shilpa Murthy
I am Shilpa, and I believe we do not need to be perfect to find peace. I use my own journey with yoga, meditation, and daily affirmations to hold a space where you can be messy, real, and finally breathe. You will find me guiding you through breathwork with a mix of ancient wisdom and just enough reality to keep us grounded.
