About this collection
The star of this setup was the custom storybook entrance I designed. Instead of a standard welcome, we built a life-sized book that opened to reveal a nostalgic photo of the guest of honor, instantly setting the mood for the evening.
When planning a milestone 60th birthday, the challenge is balancing elegance with personal nostalgia. For this project, I chose a chic black, white, and gold theme to give the venue a sophisticated feel.
I laid down a custom chevron-patterned dance floor, which, combined with the floral framing and chandelier lighting, created a distinct party zone. The goal wasn't just to decorate a space but to curate the flow of the evening.
As the emcee, I worked closely with the live band to ensure the energy stayed high. I set up the stage with a full backline so the violinists could seamlessly transition from background music during dinner to performance mode.
