About this collection
Our core training goes beyond general exercise. We use wall bars and specific floor drills to teach students how to engage their muscles for safe backbends and handstands. It is this repetitive, precise conditioning that transforms a beginner into a disciplined athlete who moves with confidence.
At EGA, we believe that advanced moves only happen when the foundation is solid. Whether your child is aiming for state-level competitions or just wants to improve their fitness, core training is the non-negotiable starting point.
We focus heavily on functional strength. In our sessions, children work with wall bars, which are essential for developing the deep flexibility required for backbends and bridges. We do not rush these movements. Every student, regardless of age, spends time mastering the basics: body tension, tight core muscles, and proper alignment.
This approach serves two purposes. First, it prevents injury. Gymnastics demands high impact and complex motor control, and a strong core acts as a natural brace. Second, it builds the mental discipline required for the sport. When a child learns that a perfect handstand is the result of consistent, daily drill work, they carry that mindset into their academics and daily life.
