About Signature Motifs: Peacocks, Lotuses & Elephants
When I draw these classic motifs, I focus on balancing bold outlines with fine, intricate shading. Whether it is a regal peacock or a graceful lotus, my goal is to make the design flow naturally with the shape of your hand. I use my own triple-sifted Sojat henna paste to ensure that these details pop with a rich, dark stain that lasts throughout your wedding festivities.
Peacocks, elephants, and lotuses are the building blocks of a great mehendi design. Peacocks bring a royal, traditional feel to a bridal arm, while elephants add a touch of grand, cultural heritage. Lotuses offer a softer, more modern look, which works beautifully for cutwork-style mehendi or back-of-hand patterns.
I love experimenting with these motifs—sometimes hiding a small lotus within a large peacock feather or framing an elephant with traditional architectural domes. Because I mix my own organic henna 24 to 48 hours before your booking, these motifs develop deep, sharp lines that really stand out in photographs.
If you have a preference—maybe you want a peacock on the palm but a lotus band around your wrist—just tell me. I treat every hand as a fresh canvas, ensuring the motifs are not just placed there, but are part of a cohesive story that suits your specific event, whether it is an intimate engagement or a full-blown wedding.
