Traditional Indian Mehendi Motifs
I weave classic symbols of love and beauty into every design. From the grace of peacocks to the elegance of lotus blossoms, these timeless motifs celebrate your special moments.

A rich and dense bridal design that incorporates peacocks on the arms and a mix of elephants, lotuses, and florals on the hands. The use of dark and light henna creates wonderful depth.
About this collection
I build depth in my designs by balancing the bold, solid fill of peacocks and elephants with the airy, intricate lines of a jaal pattern. This contrast is what makes the motifs pop, both in person and in your wedding photos.
When I create these traditional designs, I see every motif as a layer in your story. The peacock, with its intricate feathers, often sits as the centerpiece, representing beauty and celebration. I pair these with lotus flowers—a symbol of purity and new beginnings—and architectural domes that add a touch of royal heritage to the overall look.
How I Compose Your Design
- The Contrast: A common challenge with henna is clarity. I use bold outlines for larger figures like elephants and peacocks, while using very fine, dense 'jaal' (mesh) work to fill the background. This ensures the motifs don't get lost in the pattern.
- Architectural Elements: My dome and 'jharokha' (window) motifs are inspired by classic Indian palace architecture. These add a structured, frame-like quality to the design, which looks particularly striking when applied on the forearms.
- The Finish: To get that signature dark, rich stain everyone wants, I use a 100% organic, triple-sifted henna paste. My application process includes a post-care sealant with lemon and sugar, which helps the color deepen over the 24-48 hours after your event.
