About Regal Saree Ensembles
When I work on a regal saree ensemble, the focus is entirely on the perfect interplay between the drape and the blouse. I don’t just source a Kanchipuram silk; I carefully select the entire look—pairing the pure Pattu with a custom-fitted, hand-embroidered blouse and a regal dupatta that brings the whole vision to life. Because a true bridal masterpiece isn't just about the fabric, it's about how the silhouette carries your story.
My approach to these ensembles starts with the heritage of the Kanchipuram saree, but I add a modern layer that feels fresh. Whether it is the 'Maharani Series' or the 'Athiloka Sundari' collection, the goal is to honor tradition while ensuring the bride feels comfortable and confident.
I source authentic Kanchi Pattu, known for its rich feel and longevity. But a saree is only as good as its pairing. I focus heavily on the blouse, using techniques like Aari and Zardozi to create textures that complement the silk. My studio in Yelahanka is where we discuss the color palette, the border weight, and how we can incorporate stones or pearls to catch the light during the wedding ceremony.
For the 'Maharani' look, I often incorporate a dupatta that mirrors the saree's border, adding a regal touch that transforms a classic drape into a bridal statement.
