People often ask how I keep my energy high for long-format events. The secret is in the process: it starts with a quiet prayer and a focused ritual to channel my inner 'wildfire' before I step on stage. Every costume detail, from my 'Radha' transformation to my concert styling, is intentional and crafted by a team of artists who help me bring these stories to life. Hosting is not just talking, it is about being ready to reflect the audience's mood the moment the music starts.
My work goes far beyond holding a microphone. When you see me on stage at an event like 'Rangilo Re' or a massive movie launch like 'Ramayana', you are seeing the result of hours of deliberate preparation. It takes a village to create that atmosphere.
The Art of Transformation
I believe in fully embodying the character and the vibe of an event. When I took on the 'Radha' look, it was a conscious decision to break stereotypes. My team of stylists, makeup artists, and designers works with me to ensure that every accessory—from the floral accents to the traditional jewelry—is perfect for the theme. This isn't just about fashion; it is about visual storytelling that sets the tone for the entire evening.
Pre-Show Rituals
Before I face a crowd of 5,000 or 15,000 people, I spend time in silence. Whether it is backstage at Nesco or at a concert venue, I center myself. This focus helps me manage the 'roller-coaster of emotions' I need to lead. My background in Bharatanatyam and my studies in Indian scriptures are central to this; they ground me so I can project that energy outwards to the crowd.
Technical Readiness
Behind the fun and the chants, there is rigorous planning. I attend dry runs, do sound checks, and collaborate closely on the Run of Order to handle potential technical glitches. If the tech fails, I am the bridge that keeps the energy alive. I treat every project as a unique production, ensuring that whether I am working with artists like Parthiv Gohil or moderating a corporate gala, the transition between formality and celebration is seamless.
