Creative Sensory Play and Parent-Toddler Workshops in Bengaluru
Discover our approach to sensory play, where children explore textures, colors, and the joy of creating art alongside their parents in our JP Nagar studio.
This is the magic of sensory play. I love watching a child's curiosity take over as they explore new textures and colors, a foundational experience for their holistic development.
One of my greatest joys is seeing families create together. This collaborative elephant painting session is a perfect example of how art can be a wonderful tool for parent-child bonding and making lasting memories.
We were so honored to have author Ashok Rajagopalan bring his beloved character, Gajapati Kulapati, to life for us. Integrating literature with live storytelling creates an unforgettable, multi-sensory experience that fosters a deep love for reading.
We transformed a simple cardboard cutout and dried rose petals into this charming snail. This shows my passion for upcycling, teaching children that beautiful art can be created from everyday materials, fostering both creativity and respect for our environment.
Look at the focus and teamwork here. Activities like this, using colorful materials in a shared space, are fantastic for developing fine motor skills, color recognition, and early social skills like sharing and collaboration.
There's no right or wrong way to play with oobleck. These moments of pure, uninhibited, messy fun are not just about laughter; they are essential for building confidence and encouraging scientific thinking as children explore cause and effect.
This is our nature weaving loom, made from found branches. Children weave leaves, flowers, and twigs into the frame, creating a beautiful, collaborative piece of art while connecting with the natural world and developing their fine motor skills.
This is what my community is all about. Parents and children, sitting together, sharing brushes and ideas, completely absorbed in the creative process. These shared activities strengthen bonds and build a supportive, playful village.
About Featured
I design every session to be a low-pressure zone. You will find that we do not focus on the finished product as much as the process. Whether your toddler is exploring the texture of oobleck or painting with recycled cardboard, it is about letting them follow their own curiosity. We handle the cleanup, so your only job is to be present and enjoy the messy fun.
At Doe a Dear, I believe that learning happens best when it is hands-on. My workshops are built on the principles of sensory integration and eco-friendly creativity.
Why Our Approach Works
- Process Over Product: We prioritize the act of creating—squishing dough, weaving leaves, or mixing paints—over making a perfect craft. This encourages problem-solving and confidence.
- Sustainability: From egg trays to dried flowers, I teach children to see potential in everyday waste. It is a practical way to foster a lifelong respect for the environment.
- Parent-Child Connection: My studio in JP Nagar is a space where you can put away your phone, get on the floor, and simply be with your child. The bonding moments that happen during shared play are the heart of what I do.
What to Expect
Each session lasts between 90 and 120 minutes and is designed for small groups of 8 to 15 children. We integrate storytelling, music, and movement into our art activities to keep little minds engaged. If you are looking for a community where you can find support, share a laugh with other parents, and watch your child grow, you have come to the right place. We keep things simple, messy, and real.
Doe A Dear
I started Doe a Dear because I believe parenting should be about shared moments, not just schedules. In my workshops, I focus on creating a space where you and your little one can slow down, get a little messy, and connect through play that is both creative and sustainable.
