About Rooftop Sundowners
When I play a rooftop sundowner, I focus on the transition—starting with deep, groovy Afro House while the sun is still up, and ramping up the tempo with high-energy Pop and Bolly-tech once the city lights turn on. I arrive an hour early to sync with your venue’s specific audio setup, so there’s zero tech lag between the sunset view and the first big drop.
A great sundowner is all about the flow. You want a vibe that matches the shift from afternoon chill to evening party. That is exactly what I focus on—reading the energy of your crowd as the daylight fades.
I typically start my sets at venues like Skyye or Skydeck with a curated blend of Afro House and melodic grooves. This keeps the atmosphere relaxed while guests are arriving and grabbing drinks. As the evening progresses, I shift into high-energy Commercial, Top 40, and Bolly-tech to get people moving.
I bring my own professional Pioneer controller and MacBook Pro setup. The one thing you need to handle is the PA system—speakers, subs, and monitors. I will handle all the cabling to connect to your venue’s existing sound system, and we will run a full sound check 60 minutes before the first beat drops to ensure the acoustics are crisp. Whether you are planning a corporate sundowner or an intimate rooftop birthday in Indiranagar or the CBD, let’s chat about your 'Do Not Play' list and song requests beforehand to make sure the set feels uniquely yours.
