About Club Nights & Sundowners
For sundowner sets, the music needs to evolve as the light does. I start with melodic, chill house or Afro-House when the sun is still up, and gradually push the BPM and intensity as the venue transitions into the night. It is not just about hitting play; it is about reading the shift in the crowd’s energy from a relaxed cocktail hour to high-intensity club mode.
My Approach to Club & Sundowner Sets
When I am behind the decks at a club or a sundowner, the goal is simple: keep the energy locked in. I specialize in blending genres that most people would not think to put together. My sets are a journey, starting with deep Afro-House and Indo-Tech as the crowd settles in, before transitioning into commercial anthems and heavy Bollywood beats as the night peaks.
Why the Vibe Shifts Matter
A sundowner is a different animal compared to a late-night club set. In a rooftop setting, you have to compete with the view and the conversation. You need a mix that feels premium and groovy without overpowering the space. Once the sun drops and the lights go up, that is when I shift to the harder, high-octane sounds that turn a lounge into a dancefloor. I am constantly reading the room, checking the crowd's reaction, and switching tracks on the fly. No pre-recorded playlists here.
Technical Requirements
To pull off these sets, I rely on a specific setup. If you are looking to book me for your venue or private party, I need to know we have the right gear. I work exclusively with industry-standard equipment like Pioneer CDJ-3000s or 2000NXS2 mixers. If your venue does not have the right monitor setup or sound treatment, let me know early. I am happy to coordinate with your sound engineers to ensure the audio fidelity is concert-level, whether we are in a massive club or a cozy rooftop space.
