As a dancer first, I know exactly when to shift the energy. I do not just hit play. I watch the floor, picking up on the crowd's pulse to transition between the slow, grounded beats of Urban Kiz and the playful, rhythmic swing of traditional Bachata. It is about keeping you moving without feeling like you are stuck in a loop.
When I spin, I am looking for that feeling of flow. My Bachata sets balance the traditional roots of Juan Luis Guerra with modern, sensual tracks that get everyone out of their heads and into the movement. If the night needs a bit more depth, I switch to Kizomba. I focus on those deep, soulful basslines that keep partners connected and focused on the dance.
I have spent years playing in venues like Khar Social and Razzberry Rhinoceros, learning how to adapt my volume and track selection to the specific acoustics and vibe of the room. Whether you are hosting a regular social or a private party, I bring my own gear and set up in a way that blends into the background so the music stays the star. I love playing for dancers who appreciate the phrasing of a song, from the first beat to the final fade. If you are new to the scene, do not worry. I play sets that are easy to follow and encourage everyone to find their own rhythm on the floor. Let us make the music the reason everyone stays until the very last song.
