About Behind the Decks: The DJ in Action
I do not believe in makeshift gear. Whether it is an intimate house party or a packed club night, I bring industry-standard Pioneer equipment because clear, punchy sound is non-negotiable. I arrive at the venue 60 to 90 minutes before showtime to handle the sound check personally, ensuring the transitions are smooth and the energy remains consistent from the first track to the last.
How I Build a Set
My approach to DJing is built on two decades of experience. I don't just show up with a playlist. I read the room, watch the crowd's reaction to every drop, and adjust the tempo accordingly.
Gear & Technical Setup
- Console: I use professional-grade Pioneer controllers and CDJs. This ensures I can handle complex transitions, looping, and beat-matching that standard gear cannot manage.
- Sound & Lighting: For larger private events or corporate gigs in Bangalore or Mumbai, I provide professional active PA speakers, subwoofers for that heavy bass, and intelligent lighting like moving heads and lasers.
- Flexibility: If you have booked a venue with existing sound equipment, I offer a 'Talent Only' package. I bring my library and headphones and plug directly into your venue's existing Pioneer console.
Locations & Logistics
I am based in Mumbai but frequently travel to Bangalore and Mangalore for gigs. Whether it is a Bollywood night at Hungry Hippie or a private sangeet, the setup process remains the same: efficient, professional, and focused on high-energy output. I prioritize arriving early, setting up the sound properly, and making sure the volume levels are tuned to your specific venue's acoustics.
