I treat music like an experiment, blending genres to create something new. From Kokborok folk beats to commercial hits, this is my signature sound.

Here's a live mashup I created, blending a lofi hip hop beat with a Kokborok folk song and a classic Hindi track. I teach the art of finding complementary sounds across different musical worlds.

A fun mashup of 'Shaky' and 'Baawla', mixing Marathi and Bollywood influences. This is a great example of how you can create high energy dance tracks by combining regional hits.

Mixing Kokborok rap by Zwinglee with a track from Indian hip hop star Divine. This is about bridging cultures through music and showing pride in local artists on a global stage.

Finding a groovy, effortlessly cool vibe. This is me mixing 'Children of The Sea', a track that perfectly captures a pure, relaxed mood. Selecting the right track is as important as the mix itself.

About My Signature Sound: Mashups & Mixes

Creating a great mashup is about finding the tension between two worlds. Whether I am blending a Kokborok folk track with a lo-fi hip hop beat or fusing Marathi hits with Bollywood vocals, I use my Pioneer DDJ controller to balance the energy. It is not just about layering tracks, but finding that perfect moment where two different cultures, or two different eras of music, finally speak the same language.

My process starts with curiosity. Because I am a PhD scientist, I approach music like an experiment. I look for harmonic compatibility and rhythmic patterns that might seem mismatched at first glance. When I am preparing for a set or a gig, I spend hours analyzing tracks in Rekordbox, setting hot cues, and testing different EQ balances until the transition feels seamless.

Music is a language. By mixing local Kokborok songs with globally recognized hip hop or commercial pop, I want to bridge the gap between my roots in Tripura and the global stage. It is why I do not rely on sync buttons; I focus on manual beat-matching and phrasing to ensure the flow remains organic.

What goes into my mixes:

  • Harmonic Mixing: Using Camelot wheel theory to ensure keys blend smoothly.
  • EQ Isolation: Cutting lows and boosting mids to isolate vocals during a transition.
  • Genre Blending: Pairing regional hits with high-energy electronic beats to keep the crowd moving.

Whether it is an intimate lounge set or a high-energy festival stage, I tailor the soundscape to the room. If you are looking to understand the technical side of how a mix is constructed, or simply want a sound that feels distinctly curated rather than a generic playlist, this is the core of what I do. I am always happy to chat about the mechanics behind a specific edit or how to structure a live set for your event.

I split my days between medical research and the DJ booth, so my approach to music is part science, part pure passion. I do not just play tracks, I craft them into mashups that tell a story. If you want a DJ who understands the rhythm of a crowd and brings a bit of Tripura flavor to every set, let's connect.
