Who I Am
I'm Rislyn - a DJ who also happens to be a scientist from Tripura. My journey hasn’t been a straight path. DJing isn’t always seen as a "real job" where I’m from, but I mix music with the same dedication I put into my PhD research. I know what it’s like to push through doubts and just let the music do the talking.
What I Bring to Events
I’m all about reading the vibe and adapting, whether you want:
- High-energy party DJ sets for festivals, clubs, or house parties (I love when the whole crowd gets moving)
- Golden hour, chill sessions for poolside, rooftop, or sunset lounges (deep house, smooth grooves, and a bit of elegance)
- Destination wedding DJ experience or international settings (Maldives beaches, Oman rooftops, mountain lounges - I’ve played them all)
- Corporate event DJ with mashups, mixing professional with fun (I’ve performed for scientists and scholars too)
My Signature: Mashups & Local Flavour
People call me the ‘Queen of Mashups’ for a reason. I blend 90s Bollywood with psy-trance, regional rap like Kokborok with hip-hop, or even Marathi with the latest Bollywood. I like to keep things fresh so no two sets are ever the same. Sometimes you’ll catch me dropping a Kokborok track and watching the crowd go, “Wah, eta to bhalo!” (Wow, that’s good!).
Why I Do This
Music’s about connecting people and moments. I’m here for those who want their event to actually mean something, not just sound like everyone else’s party. Hambai (that’s a Tripuri greeting) - hope to see you at your next event.

My Story
People see DJ and PhD together and get confused, but that's just me! I split my days between medical research and mixing tracks, all from my home in Tripura. Not easy, honestly. Here, DJ-ing isn’t exactly a big deal unless you’re in a government job. Still, I’ve won ‘Best Djane’ twice, even if my state stays quiet about it. My family keeps me going, especially Ma. All I want is to live real, chase dreams, and maybe inspire someone else from a small place like me.
My Work
What I Do - Live DJ for parties, festivals, corporate events, sunset DJ sessions, mashups, live rap collabs, and personal DJ lessons.
Queen of Mashups - I blend old-school tracks with new beats - think 90s song Psy-Trance remix for your next party. People call me Queen of Mashups DJ for a reason.
My Vibe, My Roots - From Tripura to anywhere, I bring award-winning Tripura DJ energy. I mix to fit the mood, whether it’s wild or chill.
