About Holi Festival Mayhem
For a festival set to really hit, the technical flow is everything. I bring the Dhol player and the controller, but the venue needs a solid PA system that can handle outdoor acoustics without distortion. My approach is to read the crowd constantly, layering live percussion over electronic drops so the energy stays at 100% whether it is a pool party or a main stage festival.
Holi is not just about colors. It is about the beat that keeps thousands of people moving in sync. Over the last 13 years, I have played everything from intimate club sets to massive carnivals like the ones at Wonderland Park. My sets for Holi are built on the 'dhol-DJ ka tadka', a mix where I blend high-tempo Bollywood remixes and EDM tracks with a live percussionist. This keeps the vibe organic and wild.
I don't just stand behind the console. I am on the mic, hyping the crowd, and watching how people react to the transitions. Whether it is a daytime festival or an evening pool party, my goal is to maintain the momentum. I bring my professional Pioneer CDJ setup, ensuring the transitions between classic tracks and modern bass drops are seamless.
