About The 'Come Closer' Experience
For this setup to work, we need a flat, central space on the dance floor rather than a raised platform or stage. Because I’m mixing right in the middle of your guests, we coordinate directly with your decorator and AV team well in advance to ensure cabling is hidden safely and the console is perfectly placed to keep the energy flowing without blocking the crowd.
The 'Come Closer' concept comes from 28 years of reading crowds. When you put a DJ on a high stage, there is a physical wall that separates the artist from the party. I realized early on that when I am standing right next to the people dancing, the energy transfer is instant. You feel the bass, and I feel your reaction to every track change.

The Setup Requirements
To pull this off effectively, communication with your venue is key. We need to clear space in the center of the floor. My team arrives 2 to 3 hours early to conduct a full sound check, ensuring the levels are crisp for an up-close audience. If you have a specific vision for where the console should go, we can plan the layout to keep the flow smooth while ensuring my assistant and I are set up for a seamless, nonstop mix. It is about bringing the raw, unfiltered club energy directly to your family and friends.
