Music is a conversation, and on stage, it flows through the rhythm of my tabla. Whether it is a classical solo recital, a soulful ghazal mehfil, or a fusion concert, I bring the same devotion and energy to every performance.

A snippet from a pure Indian classical duet with the talented flutist Kartikeya Vashist. In this video, we are presenting the drut section of Raga Bageshree, a beautiful and challenging night raga.

Another clip from my classical jugalbandi with Kartikeya Vashist. The interplay between the flute and tabla is a conversation, and I am focused on providing a supportive and intricate rhythmic foundation.

A photo from my tabla solo recital at the esteemed Triveni Kala Sangam in Delhi. Performing a solo is a chance to explore the depths of the tabla and share its stories with the audience.

Sharing the stage with the legendary maestro Pt. Ajay Prasanna during a live concert. Accompanying a master of the flute is always a profound learning experience.

A candid shot from my performance at the Debadhara Festival. In these moments, I am listening intently to the main artist, anticipating the flow of the music to provide the perfect rhythmic support.

Another angle from the Debadhara Festival performance. The focus required on stage is immense, but the joy of creating music live is unparalleled.

A beautiful moment from a "Shaam E Sukhan" ghazal evening. Here I am accompanying vocalists Neha Roda ji and Sveta ji, creating a gentle and soulful atmosphere with the tabla.

Another view from the "Shaam E Sukhan" performance. The intimate setting of a ghazal mehfil allows for a very personal connection with the audience and fellow artists.

Performing at IIT Roorkee with vocalist Smriti Singh and guitarist Dutta. This concert was a wonderful blend of ghazals and semi-classical music for an appreciative young audience.

A wider shot of our trio on stage at IIT Roorkee. It shows the simple, traditional baithak setup we use even in modern auditoriums to maintain the essence of the music.

About Live Performances & Concerts

When I perform, I do not just provide a rhythmic beat. I adapt my playing to the setting—whether it is a large auditorium requiring precise amplification or an intimate baithak where the nuances of the syahi (black spot on the tabla) need to shine. My role is to lift the lead artist, so we always align on the taal (rhythm cycle) and the mood before the first note is struck.
