My Tribe of Tellers

Storytelling is often a solo journey, but festivals and shared passion bring us together. Here is my community of incredible women, dedicated to keeping the art of storytelling alive.

I recently met up with my old team from Little Readers' Nook. It reminded me of the incredible power of women supporting women. Each of these strong, talented women is doing something unique and amazing in the storytelling space.

Being a freelance storyteller can be lonely, but festivals like Gaatha are a shot of energy for the soul! Here I am with a fellow storyteller, part of a vibrant community that shares the same passion for weaving tales.

Storytellers are a vibrant bunch! This is a group of us at the Gaatha festival. We shared ideas, talked about our struggles, and had a blast together. It's a reminder that I'm not alone in this journey.

Posing with another amazing storyteller in front of the event schedule at a festival. Every performance I watch is a learning experience, a chance to soak it all in and learn from the best in the field.

A candid shot of me at a festival. These events give me the much needed time to focus on my craft, away from daily commitments, and delve deeper into creating something magical.

Another wonderful group photo from the Gaatha festival. Being surrounded by my tribe validates what I do and energizes me to continue sharing stories.

A happy moment with a fellow storyteller. The connections made at these festivals are so important. We build a network of support and inspiration.

About this collection

Beyond just performing, being part of this tribe means constantly learning from the best in the business. Whether we are sharing notes at a festival or brainstorming new ways to tackle big emotions through tales, this community ensures my storytelling is always evolving and relevant for your child.

While my sessions feel intimate and personal, they are built on a foundation of professional practice. Storytelling is often viewed as a lonely pursuit, but my engagement with the wider community, such as the Gaatha Mumbai International Storytelling Festival, proves otherwise. This network allows me to exchange pedagogical techniques, refine my voice modulation, and stay updated on what resonates with children today.

When I stand in front of a group, I bring the collective wisdom of these peers with me. Whether it is weaving mythological tales or addressing Social Emotional Learning (SEL) through stories, my work is influenced by a vibrant, living tradition. For you, this means a session that is not only entertaining but grounded in modern storytelling education.

My journey from the early days at Little Reader's Nook to the present has been defined by this constant learning. If you are looking for an interactive storytelling experience that combines cultural roots with meaningful life skills, this is the environment I work within every day.
